20 days have passed since the release of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, with positive reviews from critics and fans from around the world.
Rotten Tomatoes currently have the show at 86% for critics and 94% for audience score, which is fantastic to see how well received its been.
The big question that is on everyone’s mind is “Is there going to be a second season of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance?’
Right now, there hasn’t been any official announcements to indicate whether more stories of Thra will continue.

Javier also appeared in this video below from Collider Live! where he discusses about potential for season 2.
So right now, it’s all about the numbers, how many people are watching the show and from our understanding, Netflix looks at the numbers very closely within the first month of a shows release to decide whether to go ahead with green lighting more episodes.
For example, Umbrella Academy, another of Netflix Original shows, was released in February 15th 2019 and 47 days later on April 2nd 2019, it was renewed for a second season.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was given two seasons of the show from the get go. Season 1 was released on October 26th 2018, perfect timing for halloween and on December 18th 2018 they announced two more instalments which in that case was 53 days later.
So if we’re going to hear if season 2 is a go or not, we won’t know until mid to late October as a rough estimate, though we could hear either earlier or much later, just rough estimate.
So what can we do to get a second season of the show?
Very simple. Just watch the show again and again 🙂

Let’s prove to Netflix that the show has repeat value for them to potentially green light a second season. The numbers do made a big difference and is considered a deciding factor into the future of the show.
