So the team behind The Great Con-Junction, the first ever Dark Crystal convention, have launched a cosplay contest that anyone can participate online for a chance to win amazing prizes on offer.

Whist in lockdown & unable to attend conventions, we thought it would be fun to do a Dark Crystal/Dark Crystal inspired cosplay competition. And in true ‘The Great Con-Junction’ style, we have gone all out!

We promised you money can’t buy prizes and we don’t disappoint..
First prize
Weta Workshop will post a picture of you in your cosplay on their official Facebook page to there over 200k followers! And just as an added bonus they are also throwing in a stunning Weta Workshop Baffi the Fizzgig Figure! And if that wasn’t enough you will also receive a Great Con-Junction exclusive hand signed Brian Froud print AND a selection of 10 beautiful photo prints from the Original Dark Crystal Movie.
Second Prize
Gets you a Great Con-Junction exclusive hand signed Brian Froud print, The latest J.M. Lee Novel ‘Flames of the Dark Crystal’ (hardback), ‘A little Golden book-The Dark Crystal’ and a selection of 10 beautiful photo prints from the Original Dark Crystal Movie.
Special Category Prize for most innovative costume
You will win a signed Scrollkeeper or Rian print (you choose) signed by puppeteer Neil Sterenberg!!
Rules and Instructions
To enter you must be 16 or older
To register, all you need to do is enter your details and pay £2.00 here once registration opens. This is to cover the cost of posting out prizes (worldwide) & any surplus will go into our charity fund.
Registration will open on Friday 10th April 2020.
The competition will start on Friday 17th April and end on Sunday 26th April. The winner will be announced on Wednesday 29th April at 7pm.
Within this time you must post a picture or video of yourself in your cosplay to The Great Con-Junction Facebook page. We will then share this to the main page so that all the Thralings can see it.
You may post up to 4 photos or 1 video (60 seconds or less). This should be all in one post.
The picture or video must be taken within the above time frame. To prove this, you must be holding up a sign that says #ConjunctionCosplay
Your costume can either be from the original film, the new Netflix Series ‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’ or just inspired by either of these.
Your costume can be homemade, or shop bought.
Please keep it family friendly
The special category prize will be awarded to the person who thinks outside the box, this could be something quite simple but still inventive!
