As we’re getting closer to the release of Age of Resistance, I get asked by listeners on what episodes to listen to.
While of course you can listen to all the episodes (129 episodes!), I thought I’d give you my recommendations to start off with, this will be a three part post, so here below are some of the many episodes that I think are worth listening to for new listeners with some general behind the scenes information about them, you can listen to them below for convenience, otherwise click on the Listen tab above and click on your podcast app of choice to subscribe to the show to find these episodes.
Episode 1: Featuring J.M. Lee
I remember putting a lot of work with the first episode in particular, with the interview with Joe, months after winning The Dark Crystal Author Quest contest and recording the introduction to the podcast.
I haven’t listened to it for a long time, but for anyone new to the podcast. I think its a good start.
Episode 2 with Timothy Clarke
Episode 3 with Toby Philpott
When I started the show, I reached out to Tim and Toby to be on the podcast and was thrilled I was able to record interview with them to chat about their time working on the original film.
Episode 4 – Dark Crystal Fan Event
This was first discussion episode that I invited fans to join in the discussion about a special screening for the film that feature Brian and Wendy Froud, Cheryl Henson and J.M. Lee. I remember when the show came out, it got 1000 downloads in one day, I still have no idea how that happened, but it was fantastic to know that there were listeners downloading our episodes.
Episode 6 – Jaime Prater
This was the first time I had Jaime Prater on the podcast, a month into making the podcast, he reached out to me and we had a couple conversations over Skype and really connected with our passion for The Dark Crystal and thought he’d be great to have him on the show as a guest.
